ST. GEORGE, Utah — To thank the community for its continued support of Utah Tech University, the Student Association’s Service Branch is hosting a free UT Day at the St. George Children’s Museum.

UT Day is set to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 9 and will offer the local community a glimpse into campus life with a variety of activities. Admission to UT Day is free and the community is encouraged to attend.

“UT Day at the Children’s Museum is a great way for families and children to make connections with the university early on in a child’s life,” Baylie Booth, vice president of service for the Utah Tech Student Association, said. “It’s also a great way for students to volunteer in the community while also representing their school and the things they are most passionate about.”

The St. George Children’s Museum, located at 86 S. Main St., is a landmark tied to Utah Tech’s early history, standing where the university first began in 1911 as the St. George Stake Academy. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the Utah Tech room, a special part of the museum that represents Trailblazer Nation and showcases the spirit of Utah Tech’s athletic programs.

Utah Tech students who belong to different club organizations and athletic teams across campus will host activities throughout the day, offering interactive experiences for children and families to participate in.
